Fun February!
Well, nothing gives one the chance to get caught up on the ol' blog like nearly 6" of rain in the past 24 hours... Above is a picture of Hope's annual 4-H banquet in Desha County to thank the parents, students, volunteers, and other contributors...After a hearty meal of BBQ and fried pies for dessert, she got down to the serious business of giving out awards. Below, I receive the "Husband of the Year" award: Just kidding...I was accepting an award on behalf of the Tunican Chapter of the Arkansas Archeological Society. Kenny did receive a real award, though, for his winning the chicken cook-off Desha County 4-H had hosted earlier in the year: Got a trophy and everything for his really well cooked chicken! Kenny was also recognized for his prowess at bass clarinet, by being part of the regional band program.
